OUR MISSION

LocFluent Consulting is a technology oriented consultancy for the language services industry. We focus our efforts on assisting small to mid-sized firms in planning their adoption of new technologies and the resources needed to capitalize on the benefits of that technology.

Our goal is to help your company grow, be it through increasing the efficiency of current accounts, or by attracting new business with new or expanded technology enabled services. For most business owners the challenge is to tackle new initiatives while attending to the current day-to-day business. We help you plan and execute with minimal disruption to your current projects by enabling you to focus on what you know best–your customers and your staff.

About the photo: I was fortunate to snap this photo in Corvara, Alto Adige, Italy in 2015. It’s the opposite of an iceberg in my mind, the tip is obscured but the base is visible.

Our Philosophy

Turning to outside help for many entrepreneurs can be difficult. Much like entrusting a child to a babysitter, it takes time to build trust with an outsider to help shape and guide your business.

My approach with LocFluent is to build that trust with you and your leadership team. The best way to do that is to solve problems efficiently and collaboratively. By working via a project-oriented framework together, we can tackle your company’s most immediate challenges and then turn to your aspirations.

About the Founder

The principal of LocFluent Consulting, Scott Bass, has been active in the language industry for over 30 years. Scott was formerly the founder and owner of Advanced Language Translation, Inc., a technical translation and localization company, which he established in 1994. In 2015, he sold his company to Morningside Translations, one of the fastest growing language service providers in the U.S. Most recently, Scott was Vice President for Morningside’s Professional Services Group, where he focused on onboarding new clients, building the foundation for strong client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. In 2018, he chose to focus his attention to helping others achieve the success he has enjoyed.

Scott has a Master’s degree in German Studies from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Chemistry from the University of New York at Binghamton. He has lived, studied and worked in both Austria and Germany.
